Our Teas

Black Tea

Made with the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, black tea is a true tea. Black tea is more oxidized than oolong, green and white teas which makes it stronger in flavour.

Black teas are processed in either of two ways, CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) or Orthodox. The CTC method is efficient and effective for producing a better quality product from medium and lower quality leaves of consistently dark color. Orthodox processing is done either by machines or by hand. Hand processing is used for high quality teas.

Green Tea

Another true tea, and one which has numerous evidence-based health benefits. Green tea originated in China where it has been popular for millenia. While black tea is the popular choice in the Western world, green tea dominates the East, especially in Japan.

There are many different varieties of green tea, more popular kinds include sencha, genmaicha, and matcha. Green tea is very healthy, and it is one of the most research-backed foods/drinks in the world.

Ginger Lemon Tea

Ginger and lemon both have a large spectrum of biological activity including antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-diabetic, anticancer and antiviral properties thanks to the combination of ingredients used.

Ginger in particular has been studied for its anti-inflammatory properties. One of the most commercially available citrus fruits, lemon is known for its tart and vibrant taste. Citrus fruits like lemon have been used medicinally for thousands of years. Not only are lemons rich in vitamin C, but they are full of pectin, a natural fiber found in fruit.

Moroccan Mint Tea

Mint is something of a wonder herb. It is superb at cooling down the body (menthol, a chemical in mint, binds with our body’s cold-sensitive receptors to trick our brain into actually feeling a cold sensation) and raising its defences against the heat.

Plus, these green sprigs also act as a powerful antioxidant, soothe an upset stomach, relieve heartburn, boost mental performance, promote focus, loosen congestion, break up coughs, chase away bad breath, inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungus, help with nasal allergies, cleanse the blood and clear up skin disorders (like acne).

Raspberry Tea

Red raspberries are known to help reduce inflammation and relieve pain associated with gout, arthritis and other inflammatory joint conditions due to the presence of anthocyanins, the chemical that gives them their red color.

Drinking raspberry tea three times daily may make a difference in the amount of anti-inflammatory medications needed to reduce pain in these conditions. Antioxidant properties found in the red raspberry help to protect cell membranes from damage from free radicals.

Peach Tea

The vitamins and minerals found in this tea are linked to improving the integrity of blood vessels and arteries, as well as lowering blood pressure to reduce risk of heart attacks and strokes. This tea may lack in caffeine, but it can be energizing and can boost the metabolism to aid in fat burning and weight loss.

There is a good amount of calcium and fluoride in this fruit tea, so it can help to keep teeth strong and infection-free, while also improving bone mineral density and lowering risk of osteoporosis. Peaches are related to plums, apricots, cherries, and almonds. They’re considered drupes or stone fruit because their flesh surrounds a shell that houses an edible seed.
